Boat Tour in Palo Verde National Park in Guanacaste

Wildlife in the river: A must see for nature lovers visiting Costa Rica!

Take a leisurely riverboat ride along the beautiful and exhuberant tempisque river in Costa Rica.

Look out for all types of wildlife, including iguanas, monkeys, a huge variety of birds and even crocodiles!!!

On this tour you will take a relaxing Riverboat Cruise down the famous Tempisque River for an "Educational Wildlife tour".

A major feature of the park is the density and variety of bird species, a major factor in the creation of the reserve, due in part to its diverse ecology, with 15 different topographical zones from evergreen forests to mangrove swamps. Birds spotted regularly in the park include Great Curassows, Scarlet Macaws, white ibis, roseate spoonbills, anhingas, jabirus, and wood storks among many others. The park protects one of the most endangered ecosystems. It is one of the last remaining tropical dry rainforests that once covered most of Central America. Tropical dry rainforests now exist in less than 0.1% of their original size and are considered to be the most endangered ecosystems in the tropics.

The Palo Verde National Park, Spanish for "Green Tree", is a National Park of Costa Rica, part of the Tempisque Conservation Area, that contains much of the area of the valley of the Tempisque River and covers an area of 45,492 acres in Guanacaste Province, 30 km west of Canas. The surrounding region is mostly tropical dry forests, and the Park concentrates on conserving vital floodplain, marshes, limestone ridges, and seasonal pools from the encroachment of civilization which was putting the ecology of the area at risk.

Monteverde Cloud Forest

An exhilarating walk through a world-famous cloud forest.

Take an exhilarating walk through the famous cloud forest on hanging bridges. A treetop walkways give you a fantastic aerial view of the forest, wildlife and ecosystem below you.

This area is home to the world's most complex ecosystems.
A natural experience to see a big variety of unique tropical flora & fauna, while having much fun!

A Cloud forest that just goes on and on: Monteverde is the sole reason many people travel to Costa Rica, and with good reason. This well-known private reserve, which covers 22,000 Costa Rican hectares, has more than 400 bird species (including the quetzal, which is best seen in the early morning between January and May), monkeys, tapirs, and felines, all in its dense, dark boundaries.

Often taking the form of fog, these clouds hover around the upper canopy of the forest before condensing onto the leaves of trees and dripping onto the plants below.

Understandably, the sun has a hard time breaking through this thick veil of clouds. This causes a slower rate of evaporation and thus provides the plants with a bounty of life-giving moisture. This moisture helps to promote a huge amount of biodiversity, particularly within the type of plants known as epiphytes.

These plants grow on other plants (including trees) non-parasitically, collecting their moisture and nutrients from the air, rain, and debris that surround them. Common examples include lichens, orchids and bromeliads, all of which are abundant in Monteverde. Cloud forests also tend to host a large number of endemic species, as their unique climates and specialized ecosystems create habitats that are not found anywhere else on Earth.

So much to see, so much to do...

Walk the canopy on suspended rope bridges. See breathtaking beauty, rare animals as Poison Dart Frogs, spectactular birds and other unique and curious wildlife. Amazing waterfalls and so much more with an English speaking guide exceptionally knowledgeable in the flora and fauna of the region.
